meeting will be a lead paint presentation by the Maryland Department of the Environment. Topics
will include: a brief overview of Title 6, Subtitle 8, the new online
registration system, HB 1033, various grant/loan programs, Title X, rent court
proceedings and RRP. You do not want to miss this!

I hope everyone had a fantastic summer! I can't wait to see everyone Thursday, September 1stfor our Member Meeting. We will welcome Trevor Hess, the Code Inspector for the City of Westminster. Trevor will discuss good code enforcement solutions for Westminster properties. Housing Codes were created to ensure tenants live in safe apartments but some rules can be tricky. Be sure to bring your questions, comments, and concerns. |

Our June meeting will be held at Johansson's in Westminster starting at 6:30PM on June 2nd. Lakeside Title Company will be sponsoring the event. Drinks and light food will be provided. In May we welcome Jane-Marie Morrison, Marketing Director, with Lakeside Title Company. Jane-Marie will be presenting and educating us on Social Networking. If you missed last month's meeting, we have started a new give-a-way at our monthly meetings. If you come and wear a name tag you will be entered to win a door prize! On April 9th and 10th the CCLA had a booth at the Carroll County Home Show. I want to thank all of our members who volunteered their time to run the booth. It was a great success! We had a drawing for a free membership and hopefully recruited 14 new members. |

Please remember to pay your 2011 Membership dues. Your support helps the Maryland Property Owners Association maintain our lobbyist who is integral in making sure landlord rights are protected and upheld in Annapolis. Membership dues have remained the same this year, $60 for Standard and $110 for Associate Membership. |
